Nokia C6: Slide Out QWERTY Affordable Touchscreen Phone at Rs. 13,500

In today’s event, Nokia today unveiled three new Phones namely C3, C6 and E5. Nokia C6 looks like 5800 but in addition it has a QWERTY Keyboard slider like N97. Phone looks are cool with 3.2 HD screen and a slideout 4 row QWERTY keyboard and 5MP Camera.

Nokia C6 home screen is very similar to N97 with customizable WRT-based widgets. Here, you can place your favourite contacts, your latest emails and your friends’ Facebook updates. With Nokia Messaging on board, you have support for up to 10 email accounts from your favourite email hosts including Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Ovi Mail.

Software and OS

Nokia C6 has S60v5 but unfortunately User Interface is Symbian^1 and not Symbian^3. Comes with full suite of email and social networking capabilities means the Nokia C6 is perfect for people who want to stay up to date while on the go. Also, C6 has Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation.

Hardware Specs

This runs on ARM 11 processor running at 434MHz (same as 5800 and 5230). The Nokia C6 also comes with a five-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, support for up to 16GB of storage on microSD and an FM stereo radio. Also, it should be noted that the Nokia C6 has quadband 3G, a first for Nokia. Bundled with 2GB Memory card from Nokia.

Price and Availability

Nokia is likely to be available before second quarter of 2010 and will be priced at 220 Euros which is around 13,500 INR in India. The price range is somewhat same Nokia 5800 and you get more features at same price.
