First we posted photos of a possibly real iPhone 4G followed by a story confirming how they seem to be real and authentic. And now we have this whole scoop from Gizmodo where they seem to have gotten hands on a lost prototype of the next iPhone "found lost in a bar in Redwood City, camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS."
Hard to believe this is true for a company like Apple which is so secretive about it's products but sadly this no 1st April prank people. Gizmodo has even managed to take some photos, along with a video preview.
Here are some of the important new features of the next iPhone 4G (also referred to as the iPhone HD by some)
- It will have a front-facing camera for video chat
- Improved back camera with LED Flash
- Higher screen resolution; possibly at 960x460 pixels
- Micro-SIM instead of the standard SIM
For the body of it; it's totally flat. A body-wide aluminium border, slightly smaller screen and a 16% larger battery.
While we always knew that Apple is working on a new iPhone; having to get a glimpse of it before the official launch totally seemed like a dream until now. For all our eyes have to believe; this does look like the real iPhone 4G.
It would be interesting to see how Apple plans to get away with offering the Micro-SIM standard since as of now no carrier except AT&T in the US supports it; will definitely have some impact on the international launch of the new iPhone. Also what about the iPhone 4G on Verizon; is it coming for real?
