There is bad news for all the Apple fans who are not residing in the US. Apple announced today that they will be delaying the sales of iPad till the end of May. So, people outside US have to wait for almost two months before they can get their hands on iPad.
Apple reported in a press release that the sales of iPad are far more than expected so they will be delayed till the end of March.
According to the press release:
Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad™. We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April.
The international pricing for iPad will be announced for pre-orders on May 10. And the sales will begin by the end of the month. If you live outside US, the only option for you is to ask some of your friends who are in the US to send you the iPad from there.
