German based luxury car manufacturer, Porsche has introduced
Porsche 911 GT2 RS in India. 911 GT2 RS is the most powerful model from Porsche. The new luxury car is developed by 3600cc twin variable turbo engine that generates 620 bhp and attain a maximum speed of 330 kmph. Porsche 922 GT2 RS will be produced in a small quantity of 500 units for the US and European markets. It will also be imported only on the basis of earlier booking for the Indian auto market.
The model has laid huge expectations and is expected to be capable of beating the old
Porsche 911 GT2 or even Porsche Carrera GT. The car is bracketed in the price range of Rs 1.5 crores and above that is equivalent to 199,500 euros. The car is known for its performance that makes it achieve a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds and 200 kmph speed in 9.8 seconds. In India, Porsche currently sells models like Panamera in collaboration with its official importer and dealer – Precision Cars India Limited.
The model was however recalled due to the problem of potentially faulty seat belts. Officially the company has asked all its Porsche owners in India to contact their nearest service centres for adding the additional safety feature in 2010 models at no additional costs. Apart from that launch, Indian car lovers will see more launches in India that includes Skoda Yeti, Volkswagen Vento and Tata Aria.
