Idea Launched 3G Service In Kerala,In the starting the 3G service is only available in Ernakulam,Kozhiokode, Malappuram,Trisur,Alappuzha, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts. The 3G service inaugurated by Idea deputy managing director Ambarish Jeyin and Kerala circle chief operating officer B. Ramakrishna. Video conferencing, idea mall application store,mobile tv,video on demand, high speed internet are available to the customers through idea 3G service.

The 3G service is available to the following cities. Kozhikode city, Payyoli, Koylandi, Farokk, Bepur, Malappuram, Kottakkal, Vengara, Parappanangadi, Trisur,Ollur, Mannuthi, Cherur, Amalanagar, Thriprayar, Kocho city, Fort Kochi, Thrippunnithara, Kalamassery, Aluva, Cherthala, Adoor, Kottarakkara, Punalur.
