Honda to showcase 100cc bike in Auto Expo

The bike lovers of the country will see a new 100cc bike from Honda in Auto Expo 2010, Delhi. The bike has been in development process for three years and aims to grab the most of the share in growing 100cc class. According to HMSI's operating head, sales and marketing, N.K. Rattan, the bike will be displayed in Auto Expo, 2010. He added that the new bike will be launched by the end of the current financial year. This new bike in India from Honda is believed to be priced at Rs 45,000 to 47,000.

Rattna said that the company intends to export the new bike and hope to see awesome from Indian customers. The bike is learnt to be exported in a few Latin American and Asian nations. Currently, Honda CBZ Stunner and Honda Unicorn have got the major share of exports. Honda Activa is also a very popular scooter in India and the waiting period of the product is one month.

The company targets to export around 70,000 units of bikes as against 50,000 last year. A few months back, Bajaj came back to 100cc bike segment and managed to be on second position in bike industry followed by Hero Honda.

Royal Enfield, a Chennai based auto firm, recently introduced two new bikes in India. These bikes are christened Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500cc and Roayl Enfield Bullet Classic 350cc and priced at Rs 124,000 and Rs 98,086 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The price tag of the two bikes are very near to recently discontinued Royal Enfield models that are- Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 500 and Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 350.

The higher end model of the Classic brand is Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500cc. This model is a blend of post world war II era's Classic and latest technology. Overall, the looks is borrowed from old Classic that rule over the roads in 1951. The newly launched Classic model is equipped with Electronic fuel injection system, Roll over Sensor, disc brakes, gas charged shockers and malfunction indicator.

Auto Torrent – Schedule Torrent Downloads

Auto Torrent is a new opensource tool that allows users to schedule a download. This has lots of usage, if you are looking to download the latest version of any series, you don’t need to check it manually anymore. This tool takes care of all downloads.

You can also use this tool if you want to stay up-to-date with latest versions of any software. Just click the Schedule tab, give the download a name, choose when to run it(you can also select the time), enter the keyword for the search, and choose the date when you want it to start. Once all is done, hit Add and it will be added to the list. It has the ability to schedule multiple downloads.

You can select further settings from Options tab. Is there any specific program with which you want to open the torrent once the download is complete? Select that app from here, also select the download location for the torrents. Additional options such as Start on Windows Startup and Play Sound when download complete are also given.

Once the torrents are scheduled they are can be monitored from the Status tab. It runs the countdown to the next scheduled torrent. Once you close the app it minimizes to the system tray and runs from there.

Hyosung GT250R bike launch in India

So far, there were no competition for Kawasaki Ninja 250 R in India. But if new reports are believed, Hyosung, Korean manufacturer, to introduce its Hyosung GT250 R in India. The motorcycle is sure to give stiff competition to Bajaj's new offering, Kawasaki Ninja 250R it is expected to introduce it with a similar kind of price tag. It might be priced around Rs 2.25 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Earlier, Kinetic group launched Comet GT250 R in 2005 with a price tag of 1.8 lakh.


The new Hyosung GT 250 R will be powered by a oil cooled DHOC, 4 valve, 90° V-twin with a displacement of 250cc. The smart power mill is supposed to belt out 27 Hp at 10500 rpm and the peak torque is 16.73 lb/ft at 8000 rpm. It sports five gear system.

The Hyosung GT250R boasts vacuum fluorescent display as in luxury motorcycles. The bike has two stage headlamps. The general feature of United States made motorcycles, twin carburettor mikuni BDS26, is being used in the bike. It comes with largest tyres that is of 110/70-17 54H (front) and 150/70-17 60H (rear).
