TVS Max launched silently in Indore

TVS Motor India, one of the leading two-wheeler market leader, has re-launched the all new upgraded version of TVS MAX R model which had been discontinued in 2005 due to then new Bharat Stage emission norms. The new version will be called as TVS MAX 4R and presently it is available in Indore.

The new TVS MAX 4R will be Bharat Stage-III compliant and would also be loaded with 4- stroke, Single Cylinder, Air Cooled and 110cc engine capacity. The powertrain of TVS MAX 4R produces a top power output of 8,4 Bhp at 7500 rpm and generates a maximum torque of 8.3 Nm at 5500 rpm. The company currently produces a huge number of 110cc bikes including TVS Jive (auto-clutch motorcycle), TVS Star Sport, TVS Wego (auto gear scooter) etc.

TVS Motors is mainly targeting the rural market from where most of the sales are coming now, as the demand of strong bikes for carrying heavy load are increasing in the same area. As per the requirement of rural market, the company has started manufacturing TVS MAX 4R with heavy load capacity. It has a detachable rear seat, Four shock absorbers, wheel and indicator guards which makes its valuable motorcycle in that Indian market. The company has additionally packed with eye-catching graphics which may help to attract the buyers.

The TVS MAX 4R will be giving a tough competition to Bajaj Discover, Hero Honda CD Deluxe, Honda Twister, Hero Honda CD Down, Bajaj Platina etc. Meanwhile, Yamaha SZ, Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Piaggio Vespa LX125, Yamaha YZF R125 and Honda VFR 1200F are lined up for launch in the Indian two-wheeler market.

:Mi-Fone Mi-2010 dual SIM mobile launched in India

BVI Ltd. mobiles popular as "Mi Fone" have come up with a brand new handset called as Mi-Fone Mi-2010. This mobile handset is launched keeping in mind that the company has to launch stylish, good performing, yet economical rather cheap mobiles.

Mi-2010 mobile is again a dual-SIM GSM phone capable of dual standby feature as well.It allows every user to take incoming calls on both the SIM's simultaneously. It is armed with a 1.8-inch, 65K colour, 128 x 160 pixels LCD display.The Mi-Fone Mi-2010 comes with expandable memory of upto 2-GB or 4-GB maximum, though internal memory is unspecified.

There is GPRS, WAP for speedy browsing and MMS feature incorporated. It also includes 0.1 MP camera which is different from a typical VGA camera as its resolution is 0.3 MP, plus a torch and supports 64 midi / mp3 ringtones, MP3 player and FM radio.

The price of the mobile phone is not yet declared by the company. It is claimed that Mi Fone's Mi-2010 is already available in India and is a low cost handset.

Volkswagen announce the launch of its new Vento in India

World's major auto maker, Volkswagen Automobiles has launched its long awaited Volkswagen Vento in the Indian auto market on 6th July 2010. The all new Vento will be available for grabs by the last quarter of the current calendar year 2010. It has been launched in both Diesel and Petrol variants in the country. The car is comes loaded with the same engine as available in Volkswagen Polo i.e. 1.6 L petrol that produces a torque of 153 nm while the Diesel engine will have a thumping torque of 250 nm. The petrol version would be available in a 6 speed automatic transmission in addition to the 5 speed manual transmission.

The all new Volkswagen Vento would be comes at an attractive price tag of around 7 to 9 lakh. The interiors of the car throw light on the passion for detail of the Volkswagen team as some of the interesting features include a tilt, adjustable steering, height adjustable front seats, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, climate control air conditioning system, a multi-functional display and many more. Comfort has been ensured even at the rear end with enough leg room and head room for the rear seat passengers. One of the most stunning feature is the adjustable front seats from rear side. There are also AC vents at the rear end of the car for the comfort of rear seat passengers. On the other hand, Skoda Yeti, Tata Aria and Nissan Micra are also ready to soon hit the Indian roads.

Airtel, Vodafone confirmed to launch iPhone 4G in September

Apple iPhone 4 is ready to launch in India by September 2010, announced by Airtel and Vodafone India's no 1 GSM service provider. Airtel and Vodafone launched the Apple iPhone 3GS in India and now they confirmed to launch Apple iPhone 4G.

Recently, the Apple iPhone 4, the smartphone, is launched in U.K., France, Japan and Germany and India will be the part of 88 countries where iPhone 4G is going to be launched in September as announced by the GSM network companies Airtel and Vodafone.

The features of the iPhone 4 make it a latest version mobile in India whereas of Old version and this will be latest featured mobile and Apple iPhone offers more battery life around 40% in comparison to the older version, Wi-Fi connectivity and 5 mega pixel camera which offers excellent camera quality. iOS 4 is a application where the mobile runs and it has multi touch facility of 'Retina display' with a resolution of 960x640 pixels.

Apple iPhone 4G 16GB is expected to be priced at Rs. 35000/- and 32GB at Rs. 41500/- whereas the network company's hadn't disclosed the price details.

Tata Motors sales grew 49 percent in June 2010

Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in June 2010 were 67,730 vehicles, a growth of 49 percent over 45,440 vehicles sold in June 2009. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for June 2010 were 62,602 nos., a 45 percent growth over 43,284 nos. sold in June last year. Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 181,708 nos., a growth of 48 percent over 123,114 nos. sold last year. The company’s sales of commercial vehicles in June 2010 in the domestic market were 34,791 nos., a 33 percent growth compared to 26,245 vehicles sold in June last year. LCV sales were 19,652 nos., a growth of 21 percent over June last year. M and HCV sales stood at 15,139 nos., a growth of 52 percent over June last year. Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 97,229 nos., a growth of 35 percent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales are 55,073 nos., a growth of 21 percent over last year, while M and HCV sales stood at 42,156 nos., a growth of 58 percent over last year.

The passenger vehicles business reported a total sale and distribution offtake of 29,948 nos. (27,811 Tata 2,137 Fiat) in the domestic market in June 2010, a 53 percent increase compared to 19,513 nos. (17,039 Tata 2,474 Fiat) in June last year. Sales of Tata passenger vehicles were 27,811 nos., a growth of 63 percent over June 2009. Sales of the Tata Nano were 7,704 nos. The Indica range sales were 9,003 nos., lower by 12 percent over June last year. The Indigo range recorded sales of 7,502 nos., a growth of 113 percent over June last year. The Sumo/Safari range accounted for sales of 3,602 nos., higher by 9 percent over June last year.

Jaguar Land Rover sales continued their upward trend since launch in June 2009. Cumulative sales and distribution offtake of passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 78,336 nos. (72,236 Tata 6,100 Fiat), against 50,691nos. (45,837 Tata 4,854 Fiat) last year, a growth of 55 percent. Cumulative sales of the Nano are 14,779 nos. Cumulative sales of the Indica range are 26,507 nos., lower by 8 percent. Cumulative sales of the Indigo family are 21,303 nos., higher by 139 percent. Cumulative sales of the Sumo/Safari range are 9,647 nos., higher by 20 percent. The company's sales from exports at 5,128 vehicles in June 2010 registered a growth of 138 percent compared to 2,156 vehicles in June last year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 12,243 nos. are higher by 134 percent over 5,221 nos. in the same period last year.

German based luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has recently launched its global pre-owned car business for India: “Proven Exclusivity”. This program utilizes specific global benchmarks for vehicle evaluation, quality and warranty to offer Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned cars to Aulbur, Managing Director, and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India elaborated: “Comprehensive evaluation and refurbishment criteria, scientific tools for audit and inspection as well as manufacturer backed warranty go into the making of a certified ‘Proven Exclusivity’ vehicle. The dream of owning a Mercedes-Benz thus becomes even more achievable. The pre-owned cars will be offered for sale through the authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships where the customer will receive additional support in areas such as financing, documentation and delivery. Mercedes-Benz Pre-owned cars program has been in existence since 2009 and operates across 35 countries presently. Mercedes-Benz as a brand and a company has enjoyed a very strong equity in the market. Its legendary build, quality and reliability as well as engineering and craftsmanship guarantees a favourable residual value and strong demand in the pre-owned car market. At the same time, for over 15 years with its presence in India, the company sold approx 30,000 vehicles thereby creating a significant potential for the Mercedes-Benz pre-owned car market in India. The pre-owned car market in India is estimated at approx 10-15% of current new car sales in 2010 and estimated to substantially grow for the next couple of years.
